We know Echidna is separated from normal human logic. And his search for information is a Mania. She lack empathy, the ability humans have to read what other human is feeling, and feel it in sympathy. She is not like "Agent Smith" in the matrix, trapped in a world that hate, she is overjoyed when his favorite things get to his hands, but is uncaring about others to the point she is a monster. A worthless asshole. She is bad, but maybe theres a bit of good in her. When Subaru found that Echidna can be his confindent, and tell Echidna about the times he died and looped and Subaru vomited all that pain and ended in his knees crying. Echidna jumped from his chair to console him. Hug him. Clear his tears. And that made all the difference, maybe not for Subaru, he would have consoled himself, our found consoling somewhere. But it shows Echidna can feel, for Subaru. That Echidna maybe can be a monster for everyone else in the world, but for Subaru she could feel empathy and give him a hug. Maybe I am cynical, because I see that and I think "Ha.. of course.". Love can be sometimes like some glasses for people with myopia. Dear Subaru, once you are done with saving Emilia, Satella, the Witch of Envy, remember this small witch Echidna and save her too.

I had a sudden realization about the looping involving Subaru and Emilia. I think we are going to watch a Arc, where Emilia and Subaru are teleported back in time, and have their memories erased, and is going to be the exact same Arc 1 episodes again. With Subaru falling in love with Emilia. With the amnesia, they will have to get new names, Flugel and Satella. Like somebody replaying their favorite videogame with amnesia, and choosing the same exact dialog options. Is not destiny, magic, any type of power or energy. Is just how we are, we do not choose randomly, even when taking options that feel random.

Watching ReZero make me question some things, mostly "What I would do here". Most of the time I would do worse than Subaru. He is much more a hero than I am. And more lucky. I the serie there some events that repeat comically. On the first episodes is Subaru meeting the same group of thieves in the same backstreet. I have a life full of regrets, but I know from experience that If I had to live the same life, I would 99.999% take the same decisions against. I am not a time wizard, so I can't experience that first hand. But I got that experience in other ways. Mostly replaying the same videogames. Replaying games where theres decisions in points in the story, like the Mass Effect games, or the Baldurs Gates, I found myself making the same exact choices. Sometimes suprising me looking back and finding that the past me took the exact same steps that I did. I had this experience again recently watching the preview of POE2. I watched it first with friends in a discord server. And made X innane comments in Y places. Comments that looked like random bits. Then again I watched this POE2 review again in a stream, and found myself making the same "random" comments in the same places. So I could watch again ReZero and see these parts where people say the same words and do the same actions and reflect that is probably what would happend in real life. The whole thing about a Buttefly in the Amazonas changing the entire future is true, but is also true that humans have a solid innertia to say and do the same things. I totally believe that following his own accords, Subaru would enter that backstreet at the same time, Emilia would react the same way to Subaru. I have a life of regrets, but I think had the power of Subaru, I would love the same persons again and make the same mistakes. This make me appreciate ReZero and Subaru even more for the power of Subaru to go back and change things for the better. Specially how he turned Rem from a enemy in a friend, saving the town childrens, fighting to save Emilia, Felt and Rom, and everything else. ReZero is really a beatiful thing.
